Our neighbourhoods are getting a spring tidy as whg colleagues, partners and volunteers come together to take part in this year’s Great British Spring Clean.
As part of the campaign, our Neighbourhood Services team have been out in local communities helping to clear litter, improve shared spaces and keep our neighbourhoods clean and well-maintained.
We’ve been out across our communities in Willenhall, Pelsall, Bentley, Walsall and Blakenall, carrying out successful litter picks at:
Rose Hill Gardens, Willenhall – 36 bags collected
Paddington Walk and Keegan Walk, Bentley – more than 30 bags collected
Little Common, Pelsall – 5 bags collected
Orlando Estate, Walsall – 10 bags collected
Thyme Court, Blakenall – 30 bags collected, with 20 volunteers in attendance.
That’s more than 100 bags of rubbish collected in total!
The Great British Spring Clean brings people together to take pride in their neighbourhoods, improve the environment and create cleaner, safer and more welcoming communities for everyone.
This work reflects our wider commitment to supporting places where people are proud to live. We know that clean and well-maintained shared spaces matter to you and activities like this show what can be achieved when colleagues, partners and local people work together.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far, including our colleagues, local partners and volunteers who have given their time to make a positive contribution to neighbourhoods.
