Help us keep your home safe: Awaab’s Law
Awaab’s Law is a new law designed to make sure social landlords act quickly when serious hazards in customers’ homes could affect their health or safety.
It covers a wide range of hazards, including damp and mould, fire and electrical risks, unsafe stairs or floors, structural problems and homes that are dangerously cold or hot.
The most important thing to remember is simple: if you spot something in your home that could affect your health or safety, tell us as soon as possible.
We’ll look into the problem, assess the risk and let you know what happens next.
When you contact us, please tell us:
- what the problem is and how it is affecting you
- if anyone in your household has a health condition, disability or other circumstances that could make them more vulnerable
- if the problem gets worse.
You can report repairs through your online whg account or call us on 0300 555 6666. Emergency repairs can be reported on this number 24 hours a day.
If something doesn’t look or feel right, please report it. We’d rather know so we can check it and help keep your home safe.
