whg is urging customers to open up about their finances as part of Talk Money Week.

The leading Midlands’ landlord is reminding customers that there is a wealth of support out there for anyone struggling to make ends meets.

whg’s Money Advice Service provides a variety of free, independent and confidential support to help customers manage their finances. This includes budgeting and money-saving advice, welfare benefits guidance and support to clear debts.

Assistant Manager Ravi Chonk said: “Many of us struggle to manage our money at some point in our lives but, if you are having financial difficulties, there is plenty of help available.

“The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact and, with Christmas just around the corner, we know this is a worrying time for many families.

“We have seen a record number of new Universal Credit claims as a result of the pandemic, and we are supporting an unprecedented number of customers experiencing severe financial hardship. Since lockdown began in March, we have supported over 1,300 customers to access an extra £1,835,427 and cut household debt by £128,790.

“I would urge anyone worried about their financial situation to let us know as soon as possible so we can help you get back on track.”
