  • Customers

This year we are celebrating all of our customer’s amazing outdoor spaces with our new whg gardening competition.

So whether you have an amazing vegetable patch, a blooming marvelous balcony or a stunning hanging basket we want to hear from you.

Entry is open to all whg customers, and you could win up to £50!

Here’s all you need to know:

The categories are:

  • Best garden – does your garden have the ‘wow’ factor? Judges will be looking for a variety of plants in different colours and shapes, and ornaments used to good effect.
  • Best small garden – we want to see the best use of space, and a good variety of plants or flowers in the space available. This could be your patio, balcony or similar area.
  • Best baskets and containers – Showcase your blossoming blooms that are in containers, hanging baskets or even something a little different!
  • Best community garden – do you work as part of a team to create and maintain a communal garden or space that helps to enhance the community?
  • Best sustainable or wildlife garden – is your garden helping the environment in some way?  Are you growing your own fruit and veg, supporting biodiversity with wildflowers and wildlife or even incorporating recycled elements into your outdoor space?
  • Inclusive garden – has your garden been thoughtfully designed to be accessible to people of all abilitie? It could include features like wheelchair-friendly pathways, raised garden beds for easy access, sensory gardens for individuals with visual impairments, or spaces designed to accommodate people with mobility challenges.
  • Transformation garden – We want to celebrate the journey of gardens which have undergone substantial improvements, where an ordinary space has been transformed into an extraordinary haven. We will need to see both before and after photos of your gardens transformation.
