Colleagues at whg have taken on the role of Santa’s little helpers to deliver festive spirit to those who may be struggling this winter.

The leading Midlands’ landlord has launched its 12 Days of Christmas campaign to ensure that vulnerable families have enough food and essentials to get them through the festive period.

This campaign was supported by the Birmingham Basket Brigade charity who donated hampers containing enough food to feed a family of four for Christmas Day lunch.

Kind-hearted colleagues also embraced the spirit of giving by donating presents for customers.

The gifts were distributed to vulnerable households throughout December following a professional assessment of need. As part of the campaign over 350 Christmas presents and 378 meals were delivered.

More than £4,000 worth of supermarket vouchers were also handed out and food hampers for around 200 people were distributed.

whg also provided three days of warm meals for older customers who may have struggled to buy and cook this for themselves.

Connie Jennings, Director of Stronger Communities, said: “Although many people look forward to Christmas and spending time with family, this can be a very stressful time for those who are isolated or struggling financially.

“Nobody deserves to be alone or hungry at Christmas. We hope these food hampers and presents will reassure our most vulnerable customers that they are supported and bring them some festive joy this winter.”
