Celebrating Shared Ownership Week

This week is Shared Ownership Week – a week to spread awareness about the affordable home ownership scheme that is helping thousands of first-time buyers and families onto the property ladder.

Larissa and Martin are just two of our customers we have helped purchase their first home. The couple were eager to become homeowners but struggled to purchase a house outright. After spotting one of our adverts for shared ownership they were able to move into their first home at Deer’s Rise in Hednesford.

Larissa said: “Shared ownership gave us the chance to get on the ladder with a smaller deposit as we bought a 50% share in the property.

“We had never looked at a new build before because we thought they would be outside our price range. We love how fresh and new everything is. It feels amazing and I’m so proud to own my first home. Shared ownership is a great scheme for young buyers and I would encourage anyone thinking of buying their first home to look into it.”
