We’re proud to share that our Home Maintenance Services (HMS) Team has been shortlisted for the Housing Heroes Awards 2025.

This recognition celebrates the exceptional dedication and hard work of our 350-strong team to keep our homes safe and well-maintained.

Over the past year, the HMS team has:

  • Completed 80,000+ repairs
  • Resolved 1,500+ urgent damp and mould cases
  • Delivered 90%+ of routine repairs on time
  • Achieved over 90% customer satisfaction

One of the biggest changes we’ve made is launching our Repairs Booster Team- multi-skilled colleagues who can tackle a range of issues in one visit, to speed up repairs and reduce return visits.

We’ve also reorganised into local East and West teams giving us deeper knowledge of the homes we look after and helping us respond faster.

Working with customers, we’ve co-designed policies and solutions through our Damp and Mould Task and Finish Group, including the resident-led Dampbusters project- helping reduce damp and mould cases by 26% in just one year.

Robert Gilham, our Corporate Director of Strategy, Assets, and Transformation, commented:

“By combining innovative service delivery with data-driven decision-making and a focus on customer needs, the team not only cleared 12,000 outstanding repairs but also improved customer satisfaction, reduced wait times, and created a blueprint for service improvement that can serve as a model for the sector.”

Thank you to our amazing team, our customers, and everyone who’s helped shape a (potentially award-winning) service we’re proud of.

The Housing Heroes Awards ceremony will take place later this year, and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of all nominees.
