Spring has sprung, and with the Easter holidays just around the corner, there are plenty of ways for families to enjoy time together without spending a fortune.

Walsall

Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme

Walsall Council’s Holiday Activities and Food programme is running over the Easter break, with free sessions and a healthy meal available for eligible children and young people.

When: Monday 30 March to Sunday 12 April 2026

Cost: Free for eligible families

Bescot Sunday Market

One of the largest Sunday markets in the West Midlands, featuring over 300 stalls selling everything from fashion and home goods to plants and beauty products, alongside a wide range of hot food options.

Free Easter arts and crafts

The New Art Gallery is putting on a range of Easter workshops this half-term, from bunny hand-puppets, to Easter wreaths.

Wolverhampton

Easter Craft and Gift Fair

Himley Hall and Park are hosting an Easter Craft and Gift Fair with local stalls, food, live music and children’s activities.

When: Sunday 29 March 2026, 10am to 4pm

Where: Himley Hall and Park, Himley Road, Himley, DY3 4DF

Cost: £2.50 entry, Under 16s go free. Easter egg hunt: £1 per child.

Chase Creatures Easter trail

Explore the magical Chase Creatures Trail at Marquis Drive Visitor Centre, bump into imaginative characters and get involved with hands-on activities including badge making and creating nature-inspired characters.
