Your Community Housing Officer

Your Community Housing Officer is your local contact for housing and tenancy support. They work out and about in your area, so they understand your neighbourhood and the services available to you.

They are here to help you feel confident in your home and community.

Grounds maintenance and cleaning services

You may pay a service charge for maintenance and cleaning of communal or surrounding areas.

Depending on your type of tenancy, you may see these charges listed as a separate fixed amount alongside your rent, or they may be included within your rent amount.

Our service standards explain what you can expect from these services if you receive them.

Addressing antisocial behaviour

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home and neighbourhood. If something is affecting your safety or peace of mind, we are here to help.

Tackling flytipping

Fly-tipping is a crime and a breach of tenancy agreement if it is caused by a whg customer. We investigate all reports of fly-tipping on our land and may take action, including fines, recharging removal costs or legal action that could put your lease at risk.

You can report fly-tipping on whg land through your online account. We will investigate and take appropriate action.

If the rubbish is on council land, please report it to your local council.

Money advice

Money worries can be scary to tackle on your own, and sometimes it is hard to know where to start. That’s why our team of qualified experts are here and ready to help you.
