whg achieves HouseMark accreditation for antisocial behaviour services
whg has achieved HouseMark accreditation for its approach to tackling antisocial behaviour (ASB) and supporting those affected.
The independent review found whg’s ASB response to be high performing and victim-centred, recognising the strength and consistency of its approach to taking early action, supporting customers and working with partners to reduce harm in communities.
The assessment also praised clear communication with residents and consistent decision making across cases.
What this means for you
If you report antisocial behaviour to us, you can expect us to take it seriously.
This accreditation recognises that we:
- listen and act when concerns are reported
- communicate clearly with customers
- make fair and consistent decisions
- work with partners when needed
- take action to help reduce harm and protect communities
We know antisocial behaviour can have a big impact on daily life. That is why we will look into every report and take action based on the situation and evidence available.
HouseMark’s Anti-Social Behaviour Accreditation is an independent audit of ASB services. It looks at how landlords prevent and respond to ASB, support those affected and work with partners.
ASB is any behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress and has a serious impact on individuals or the wider community. whg understands how this can affect day to day life and takes every report seriously.
When ASB is reported to whg, an investigation is started and each case is assessed based on the situation and the evidence available. This can include early support, working with partners such as the police and local council, and taking tenancy enforcement action where needed.
Sarah Clarke, Director of Housing and Customer Services at whg, said:
“Our priority is always to ensure customers feel safe and secure in their homes. This accreditation recognises the strength of our approach and the support we provide to customers experiencing ASB.
“We take every report seriously, act early where we can and work closely with partners to take the right action. Where behaviour continues and causes harm, we will take further action, including through the courts if needed.”
The HouseMark Anti-Social Behaviour Accreditation is a recognised mark of quality for antisocial behaviour services. Achieving it reflects the strength of whg’s approach and gives customers and partners added confidence that ASB is being tackled seriously, fairly and consistently.
Customers experiencing ASB are encouraged to report it to whg so concerns can be investigated and the right action taken.
