Prior to his role at Plymouth Council, Matt spent over a decade working in the social housing sector, delivering high-quality affordable and open market homes.
Matt’s extensive experience covers a broad range of disciplines, including project delivery, economic development, and compliance with evolving regulations such as the Building Safety Act.
Rebecca Bennett Casserly, Corporate Director of Development, said: “We are delighted to welcome Matt to the team. His expertise, leadership, and passion for placemaking will be instrumental as we deliver on our ambitious 2030 Plan. With Matt on board, we are further positioned to tackle the housing challenges of today and build a brighter future for the communities we serve.”
Matt said: “I am excited to join whg at such a pivotal time. The organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable homes and creating thriving communities resonates strongly with me. I look forward to working with the team to make a meaningful difference for customers and to play our part in addressing the national housing shortage.”
