whg is on the hunt for 20 new tradespeople to join its repairs team as part of a major investment in the service.

The leading Midlands’ landlord has launched a recruitment drive to fill a range of roles including those as carpenters, plumbers, plasterers, glaziers, bricklayers and roofers.

The expansion to the service will mean that whg will be able to enhance the service and improve customer experience.

The new colleagues will undertake all aspects of work in respect of maintaining and improving around 22,000 homes across the Midlands.

Rob Gilham, Corporate Director of Strategy, Assets and Transformation, said: “We are always looking at how we can improve our services.

“Following customer feedback we’ve recently introduced a new ‘Repairs Booster Team’ to help us tackle repairs quicker and more efficiently with a team of multi-skilled trades carrying out multiple jobs in a single visit. This has been hugely successful in reducing wait times, and we now want to expand this service out further.

“This is a great opportunity for skilled trades people looking for guaranteed, regular work with an organisation that makes a real difference in peoples’ lives.”

More information about the roles and how to apply is available here.
