During your sign up

During your sign up, we will guide you through your tenancy agreement and explain what it means for you.

Your tenancy agreement is a legal agreement between you and whg, which sets out:

  • what you must do to manage your tenancy
  • what whg will do as your landlord.

These are called responsibilities and obligations.

There are a number of types of tenancy agreement that whg may offer you. Whichever tenancy agreement you have, you must read it carefully. Your Housing Advisor can guide you through it at your welcome visit. This visit usually takes places within 6 weeks of your tenancy starting.

The first 12 months

During the first 12 months of your tenancy, we will visit you to see how you are settling in to your new home. You must ensure you are present when we visit you to carry this out, in addition to:

We will give you advance warning of any appointments you need to attend. If the appointment you are given is not convenient, please contact us to arrange it for another time.

Tenancy Fraud

Could you spot Tenancy Fraud? Together we can Prevent Fraud and Prevent Homelessness.

whg will investigate all reports including anonymous reports of unlawful subletting or tenancy fraud.
