We’re pleased to share that our latest regulatory judgement from the Regulator of Social Housing, following a stability check, has confirmed a Governance grade of G1 and a Viability grade of V1.

Alongside our existing C1 Consumer grade, this means we continue to hold the strongest possible ratings across the ‘big three’, providing assurance for our customers, colleagues, stakeholders and partners.

The Regulator recognised our ability to effectively manage risk and deliver our objectives, including new development and continued investment in existing homes. The judgement also highlighted our strong financial profile, planning and strategy, underpinned by effective oversight and governance from our Board.

Gary Fulford, Group Chief Executive at whg, said:

“This judgement is a positive reflection of the hard work and commitment of colleagues across whg, and of the culture of governance and accountability we continue to build.

While we are pleased with this outcome, we are clear that maintaining strong finances, managing risk well and delivering for our customers requires constant focus and this provides reassurance that we are on the right track.”

We know there is always more to do and we remain focused on continuous improvement.

We are almost one third of the way to delivering our ambitious 2030 Plan, and it’s encouraging to see our priorities around strong governance, effective risk management and financial resilience evidenced through this judgement.
