Ian was appointed as a whg Board Member in November 2020. He is a Board Value for Money Champion and a member of the People and Governance Committee.

Ian has worked in the not-for-profit, private and public sectors, including 16 years at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. He has considerable experience of working at Board level with senior stakeholders across diverse sectors.

Ian is currently the Chief Executive Officer with Reall, a global affordable housing innovator and investor focused on Africa and Asia. Reall runs a housing association-style network focused on affordable homes in emerging markets.

Ian has a deep commitment to the role of housing in delivering social justice.
