Deborah’s career in housing has spanned 37 years, beginning as a Neighbourhood Assistant with Walsall Council in 1986. In the past 10 years Deborah has worked mostly with London’s G15 group of large housing associations.

Deborah is a change and governance specialist. She owns and runs a housing consultancy which works at leadership and governance level to support organisations and individuals implement lasting change – from clarifying vision and defining strategies through to turning plans into reality. She has worked with Boards

across England and Wales on improving governance and developing recovery plans when there have been governance failures.

Deborah is a member of whg’s Audit and Assurance Committee, the People and Governance Committee, and is the Board Transformation Champion. She is passionate about social housing and is pleased and excited to be returning to Walsall, a place that holds a special place in her heart.
