whg named among UK’s top employers for third consecutive year

whg has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s top large employers in the prestigious 2026 Sunday Times Best Places to Work list.

The national recognition highlights organisations that are leading the way in employee experience and workplace culture, celebrating employers that excel in areas including colleague wellbeing, inclusion, reward and recognition, job satisfaction and pride.

The results reflect high levels of colleague engagement across the organisation, with colleagues rating their happiness at work at 8 out of 10

whg also achieved scores of 8.5 out of 10 for both pride in working for the organisation and doing worthwhile work, while colleagues rated whg’s commitment to diversity and inclusion at 8.6 out of 10

Lisa Wallis, Corporate Director of People and Culture, said:

“Being recognised as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work once again is a fantastic achievement and reflects the culture our colleagues create every day.

“We are committed to creating an environment where people feel supported and valued, with opportunities to grow and develop meaningful careers. These results reflect the strong sense of purpose, belonging and pride that colleagues feel across whg.

“As we continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers and communities, we remain focused on building a workforce and workplace of the future – embracing innovation, investing in our people and ensuring we remain an inclusive employer of choice across the Midlands.”

whg is currently in the early stages of a proposed merger with Aspire Housing, which also features in this year’s Best Places to Work list.
