Ian was appointed as a whg Board Member in November 2020. He is Deputy Chair of the People and Governance Committee.

Ian has worked in the not-for-profit, private and public sectors, including 16 years at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. He has considerable experience of working at Board level with senior stakeholders across diverse sectors.

Ian is currently the Chief Executive Officer with BRE Group, a world-leading, science-led organization dedicated to improving the built environment through research, testing, training, and certification.

Ian has a deep commitment to the role of housing in delivering social justice.
