whg is reassuring customers struggling with their finances that help is available as part of World Homeless Day.

The leading Midlands’ landlord is reminding customers that there is a wealth of support on offer to help those who are struggling to pay their rent or manage their tenancy, as part of the worldwide event, which takes place on 10 October.

Corporate Director Fay Shanahan said: “We know that there are so many households under huge financial pressure at the moment. Not only are some families facing the £20 cut to Universal Credit, but rising energy and living costs are leaving some people in an impossible situation.

“We want our customers to know that we are here when they need us. We have our own in-house Employment and Skills team who can help support customers back into work. We also have a great team of money advisors who can help customers tackle debt issues and make sure that they are getting all of the benefits that they are entitled to.

“If any of our customers get into difficulty with their tenancy, we want to help them tackle that problem quickly and prevent them from losing their home. We want all of our customers to thrive in their home.”

whg is proud of the work that they have done so far to sustain tenancies, but they recognise that there is more to do.  They intend to continue to challenge themselves to do more in order to achieve their ambition to not evict anyone into homelessness.
