whg has collected hundreds of Easter eggs this March to donate to struggling families.

The leading Midlands landlord joined forces with its contractors to donate more than 300 chocolate treats, along with toiletries and other essentials, to Bloxwich and Blakenall Food Bank.

Sarah Jukes, whg’s Customer Liaison Agent, said: “We know that special occasions come at a cost and that not all families are fortunate enough to receive treats such as Easter eggs. We hope this donation will spread some community cheer during the holidays.

“My thanks go to our contractors; Nationwide Windows, Select Installations, Novus, Dodd Group, PRG and Lovell for their kind donations.”

Peter Box, from the foodbank, said: “We are very grateful to whg and their partners for this donation which will supplement the essential items that go into our food parcels and will be a real treat for the families we work with.”

The foodbank, based at Blakenall Village Centre, is open every Thursday. The foodbank works using a voucher referral system and anyone wishing to use the service will need a voucher issued by a local agency.
