whg is celebrating after being shortlisted for a hat-trick of industry awards.
For the second year running the leading Midlands landlord has made it to the finals in three categories of the UK Housing Awards.
These are Digital Landlord of the Year, Inclusivity and Diversity Pioneer and Innovator of the Year.
In the Digital Landlord category whg impressed judges for its work to ensure no customer is left behind in an increasingly online world.
Project UPLIFT, whg’s successful training programme which aims to help more women get a job in the construction industry, caught the eye of judges in the Inclusivity and Diversity Pioneer category.
whg has been shortlisted for Innovator of the Year for its Building Information Modelling (BIM) programme. Using new technology, the housing provider is building computerised 3D models of all 17 of its high rise buildings to support fire safety and asset management.
whg will now showcase the projects in front of a judging panel, before finding out if they will be named winners at a black tie event in London on 7th May.
whg’s Chief Executive, Gary Fulford said: “Being shortlisted for one of the most prestigious awards events in the housing sector is an exceptional achievement, and it’s great to see colleagues getting the recognition they deserve.
“We are proud of the work we do in creating communities where local people can thrive, and I’m delighted that three of our programmes that are really making a difference to our customers have been recognised in this way.”
The UK Housing Awards, run by Inside Housing, is the largest and longest running awards in the sector and is now in its third decade.
