Homeowners are finding an affordable way to purchase the property of their dreams, thanks to whg.
The leading Midlands landlord offers new build homes for Shared Ownership. This provides a smart and simple way for prospective home hunters to buy their home, by allowing them to purchase a share of a property (usually between 25 and 75 per cent) and pay rent on the remaining share. Further shares can then be purchased until the home is bought outright.
whg has a dedicated Sales Team which works with high quality developers to get people into brand new homes at affordable prices.
The Sales Team helped mum Katie Allison move into a three-bedroom Shared Ownership home at Martineau Gardens, in Harborne, in February 2017 with her partner, Jak Middleton and son Harvey.
Katie said: “We had previously rented a property but we wanted to look for something that was more secure for our son. We went along to an open day and when we first saw the house, we thought it was beautiful. It was everything we wanted and in a great area, too, so we made an offer just a few days later.
“We wouldn’t have been able to make an offer if it wasn’t for the shared ownership option. It was the best thing for us and we are now living in a beautiful, brand new home. I would urge anyone who has children to look into shared ownership.”
whg will shine the spotlight on its Shared Ownership offer as part of Shared Ownership Week, from 21st to 27th September.
To mark the annual event, people will be able to read testimonials from customers who are benefiting from living in whg’s Shared Ownership properties. A series of myth busters will also be shared on whg’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Our social media followers will also be able to meet members of whg’s Development Team and find out more about Shared Ownership through videos on whg’s YouTube channel.
It comes as whg continues to build Shared Ownership properties in the Midlands.
A development of 33 homes is underway in Teddesley Street, Walsall and is expected to be completed in summer 2018. Ten of these homes will be available to purchase through Shared Ownership.
Another development providing Shared Ownership homes is also underway in Penkridge. Swallow Place will provide 65 high-quality apartments for people aged over 55 and is expected to be handed over in autumn 2018.
Mark Tranter, whg’s Director of Development, said: “Shared Ownership is providing an easier way for people to buy their dream home. Our priority is to ensure our customers are getting the right home that suits them, which is tailored to their affordably requirements.
“Our development programme is experiencing a period of rapid growth and we have recently outlined plans to sell 225 Shared Ownership homes by 2020, which will be provided across the Midlands. We are proud to mark Shared Ownership Week and highlight the unique product offer that this tenure provides.”
