Walsall firefighters were faced with fires, dead bodies and a suspected cannabis factory, as part of a training exercise in partnership with whg.
The crews from Walsall, Willenhall and Bloxwich stations took part in the mock exercise at the parade of shops on Shelley Road, Willenhall, on 9th January.
whg offered the firefighters the use of their empty properties above the shops for the training activity.
Seven fire engines from stations that included Fallings Park and Aldridge, and around 40 firefighters, attended the scene to put their skills to the test.
Paul Dockerill, Director of Energy and Programme Management, said: “We have a great relationship with the fires service and are always looking at how we can support them in their work.
“As these properties were standing empty they were the ideal location for the firefighters to carry out a live exercise in a realistic environment. The day also gave us the opportunity to test our incident management plans.”
