An exciting summer scheme run by leading Midlands landlord whg has been hailed a success after record numbers had fun in the sun.

More than 200 youngsters enjoyed a fun packed programme of activities over the long summer break at venues across Walsall.

Designed to promote a healthy and active lifestyle in young local residents, those who signed up were able to enjoy a variety of sports such as rounders, football, cricket and nature walks. Healthy eating days were also arranged.

The scheme culminated in a watersports event at Sneyd Water Activity Centre and a multi-sports day at Walsall Football Club, where participants were presented with a medal and certificate in recognition of taking part.

Head of Health and Wellbeing Clare Thomas said: “We have been absolutely delighted with the success of this years’ scheme and the huge number of people taking part.

“It has been a great opportunity for us to work with our customers and share the keeping healthy message while also having fun.”
