Leading Midland’s landlord whg is launching free courses in January to help families start the new year by getting their finances in order.

The Cash Smart Credit Savvy course, run in partnership with Just Finance Black Country, aims to help people take control of their money.

The course is run over three sessions looking at how to save money on shopping and bills, credit, loans and debt and how to make a budget and stick to it. People can choose which sessions they wish to attend.

The workshops will be run from whg’s Hatherton Street office, Queens Lea in Willenhall and Catshill Road in Brownhills. Each session lasts two hours.

A free Universal Credit Savvy session is also delivered regularly, which gives advise on Universal Credit, how to prepare for it and where to receive support.

The Just Finance Foundation, through partnerships that include one with whg, has helped over 3,500 people across the UK to secure a better financial future since it launched in 2014. The organisation works locally and nationally through churches and other community groups, to increase the supply of fair and affordable finance and to empower people by building their financial capability.
