Free home energy event to beat the cold this Winter

A free home energy advice event is coming to Walsall this September to support households worried about the cost of keeping their homes warm in Winter.
The Winter is Coming session is being run by Act on Energy with partners whg at Rough Hay Community Room, Hall Street East, on 22 September from 10am to 3pm.
Visitors will be able to find out what support is available for anyone who is struggling with the cost of living, and pick up advice on what discounts are available on energy bills. They’ll also be able to pick up free energy saving items for their home.
Alison Matthews, Head of Stronger Communities at whg, said: “With energy bills set to rise even higher than last Winter, it’s really important that customer prepare for the colder months ahead.
“Help is at hand, and we would urge any customer worried about their heating costs to drop in to this event and find out what support is available.”
