First customers move in to Lockside

We’re delighted to start welcoming shared ownership customers to Lockside – our first development for joint venture (JV) developer Anthem Lovell LLP, a partnership between leading developer, Lovell, our subsidiary Anthem Homes.

Healthcare assistant and student Joseph was one of our first customers to move in and set up home with his sister and puppy Ragnor.

The 29-year-old said: “I was fed up of renting – I’ve always believed in owning my own property but having a large enough deposit to buy a home outright was unrealistic. Shared ownership has allowed me to make that first step.

“My home is beautiful – I can see myself living here even into retirement. It’s really central and everywhere I need is just five minutes away. As a new build it’s so well insulated and I think that will have a really positive impact on my energy bills over the winter.

“The whole process was really simple and I would tell anyone thinking about shared ownership to just go for it. You won’t regret it!”
