Community Matters is one of four projects within this programme across the Black Country and will help people across Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell move into or closer to employment by developing their skills and confidence.
Community Matters is managed by the Heart of England Community Foundation in partnership with local organisations across the Black Country.

whg will be delivering the following specific activities:
- confidence building sessions
- CV writing to help you on the way to your dream job
- help with English and Maths
- volunteer training and work experience.
Community Champions Zoe and Shafeen will support you to take that first -sometimes scary – step through provide all activities in fun, friendly and small groups.
We are currently offering people support to take their online driving theory test, make digital greeting cards, cooking on a budget, confidence-boosting classes, English lessons and help and guidance with getting into work.
This fun, local scheme will help you make new friends and give you the chance to try new things. We provide childcare, day savers and lunch. All of the activities are FREE.
