We all face times when we could do with a little extra help, whether we are facing health problems, money worries or just struggling to cope with daily life.
If you are feeling isolated or like things are getting on top of you, our Wellbeing Service can provide varying levels of support to help you through.
Support is tailored to your individual needs but aims to keep you happy, healthy, active and connected with others.
Who is the Wellbeing Service for?
You don't need to be a whg customer to benefit from the service - we offer help to anyone living in Walsall.
It is aimed at people who want to stay living in their own home and keep active but need a bit of support.
The service will also be included at the new homes for over 55s we are building across the borough for people ages 55 and over.
What help can the Wellbeing Service offer?
Everyone’s needs are different, so we tailor our service to suit you and your circumstances. We appreciate that things may change over time and we can adapt the type of support we offer to meet those needs.
Support could include:
- regular home visits to check you are okay
- help to get out and about
- advice on bills, benefits and managing your money
- help while you recover after a spell in hospital
- advice on home and fire safety
- support to give carers a break.
How does the Wellbeing Service work?
Our Wellbeing Service is affordable and flexible, so we charge an hourly rate.
The amount of help you want is entirely up to you but our friendly team can assess your needs to help you decide.
