Since April 2013 the government has introduced changes to benefits, affecting many of you who paid rent either in full, or in part, by housing benefit.
The changes meant that you may now receive less housing benefit if the government decided you have one or more 'spare' bedrooms. For more information visit www.gov.uk/housing-benefit
Additional benefit changes will be introduced in Autumn 2016 resulting in a cap on the level of benefits claimants are entitled too. You can use the benefit cap calculator to find out how these changes may affect you.
