The WHG Board oversees and leads the work of the Group. It provides strategic direction to the Group Executive Team, who in turn translate this into operational activity through our management structure.
The Board comprises five tenant members (one from each Local Committee), five independent members and a nominee from Walsall Council. Board members receive induction and ongoing training.
The Board and the Local and Standing Committees have significant levels of customer representation. This is a key way in which customers can directly influence our business activities.
Our Board and committee members are volunteers and give their time freely. Board and committee membership is for a fixed term and we operate in accordance with the requirements contained in the National Housing Federation Code of Governance.
