falls prevention service

whg is working in partnership with NHS Walsall to take action to reduce the number of falls by older people across Walsall.  A Falls Prevention Co-ordinator will raise awareness of personal safety both inside and outside the home.

This is a free service provided to meet the diverse needs of anyone over the age of 60 and living in Walsall. You do not need to be a whg customer to receive this service.

How can we help?

The service will identify those at risk and reduce the incidence of falls and the impact a fall can have on health, well being and independence. We can also provide help with:

• housing support
• preventative technology
• welfare and housing benefit advice
• advice and access to other services
• aids and adaptations
• social isolation and loneliness
