If you receive Housing Benefit, you don't need to do anything. Your rent payments will continue to come direct to whg from Walsall Council.
If you are unsure whether you are entitled to Housing Benefit, you can visit the Walsall Council website, where you will find contact details for Benefits Services (new window), Frequently Asked Questions (new window) and on-line calculator (new window) that can give you a benefits estimate.
If you are having difficulties paying your rent, talk to us as soon as possible. We can help you with plans to get you back on track with your payments. If you fail to pay your rent, we will take action and so it's important that you get in touch with us for help and advice before debts begin to mount up.
